Transition
“Either through migration or growing up, the places that we remember occupying change and leave us to become a memory”
Transition’ is about the changing state of human emotion. I see the bird
as a simple of progress and transformation. The transparency and of the pencil line is taken advantage of to depict the different staged of the wing opening and closing.
Eleanor Bedlow grew up in Kagawa Japan before moving to London at the age of 11. Her work touches on how a person relates to their surroundings and how memories of these surroundings stay with us.
She gained a degree in Fine Art from Falmouth College of Arts in 2005 before studying observational drawing at the Prince’s Drawing School in 2008.
