Get off my chips!
After reading the brief my first reaction was… My Mum will hate this. My Mum lives near Whitstable and has had a life long fear of birds eventually cured by sessions of cognitive behavioural therapy. In particular it is the choatic way in which birds agressively flock particularly when trying to get to food. Especially chips.
The interaction of wings and bodies and noise can create interesting abstractions of pattern and negative space which are elements I look for in subject matter for my drawings. But ultimately Seagulls love chips and my daughter says thats why they always live by the sea. But mostly they live there to annoy Grandma!
